Kim Woo-seok

Biography

Kim Woo-seok is a South Korean television actor born on March 3, 1994. He is known for his appearances in the crime thriller Voice, the military courtroom drama Military Prosecutor Doberman, and the historical romantic comedy The Forbidden Marriage. Because another South Korean performer shares his name, this profile refers specifically to the actor born in 1994, not the K-pop singer and former UP10TION and X1 member.

One of his early recurring television roles was Jin Seo-yool in Voice 2 (2018). He returned to the character in Voice 3 (2019) and Voice 4 (2021), which put him inside a franchise built around emergency calls, criminal investigations and fast-moving suspense. Between those appearances, he played Bae Jin-soo in the romantic drama A Piece of Your Mind (2020) and Jung Ba-reum in Scripting Your Destiny (2021).

His work in 2022 helped introduce him to a wider range of viewers. In Rookie Cops, he portrayed Seo Bum-joo, one of the characters in a coming-of-age story set around police university training. In Military Prosecutor Doberman, he played No Tae-nam, whose position within a privileged military environment made him part of the show’s examination of corruption and accountability.

Kim then appeared as Lee Shin-won in The Forbidden Marriage (2022–23). Set in a fictionalized Joseon court, the drama revolves around a royal ban on marriage and the romantic complications that follow. His role as a royal officer offered a notably different setting from his earlier crime and legal projects. He also portrayed Shim Young in Our Blooming Youth (2023).

In the 2026 SBS drama Doctor X: Mafia in White, Kim plays Park Tae-kyung, a compassionate young surgical intern from a well-connected medical family. Meeting Gye Su-jeong challenges his comfortable assumptions about how hospital life works. The character adds a younger doctor’s perspective to a story otherwise dominated by experienced surgeons and powerful medical administrators.
