Lee Jin-hee

Biography

Lee Jin-hee is a South Korean actress born on February 15, 1983, with a varied filmography of K-dramas and movies. Her career is a reminder of how much supporting actors contribute to the worlds that drama leads inhabit: family members, professional colleagues and people who can completely change the direction of a scene without being the central character.

Her early film appearances include Finding Mr. Destiny (2010), Always (2011), You’re My Pet (2011) and The Attorney (2013). She later appeared in Stone Skipping and the international action drama Escape from Mogadishu (2021), where she played Won Mi-sook. These projects gave her experience across romance, social drama and large-scale historical action.

Television viewers may recognize Lee from a brief appearance as Yoon Hye-jin’s mother in Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha (2021). She portrayed Shim Min-joo in the legal drama Why Her? (2022) and appeared in an episode of the supernatural mystery Revenant (2023). These parts show how her filmography crosses both mainstream romance and darker genre storytelling.

In 2024, she appeared as Joo Hwa-young in Flex x Cop and Kim Hui-ra in the divorce-law drama Good Partner. She also played Madam Cha in the historical series The Tale of Lady Ok. Her 2025 credits include My Youth as Yang Ja-kyung and As You Stood By as Kim Seon-yeong, alongside further ensemble appearances in contemporary Korean television.

For Doctor X: Mafia in White (2026), Lee takes on the role of Jo Won-jin, an anesthesiology professor at Guseo University Hospital. The department is central to the operating-room environment in which the series’ confrontations unfold. Rather than portraying a generic medical worker, this gives her character a professional specialty within the hospital’s hierarchy.

From smaller guest appearances to recurring character roles, Lee Jin-hee’s screen career brings together a wide range of Korean drama genres. Viewers encountering her in Doctor X can trace her previous work through Good Partner, Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha, The Tale of Lady Ok and Escape from Mogadishu.
