A hotel heiress who can see ghosts is already an excellent K-drama problem. Making her fall for a prosecutor who is terrified of them? That is where Spooky in Love finds its personality. This 2026 tvN romance mixes supernatural encounters, murder investigations and a relationship in which something as ordinary as holding hands can change everything.
Park Eun-bin plays Cheon Yeo-ri, the polished chief executive of Reina Hotel. From the outside, she looks like someone who has complete control of her life. Privately, she sees restless spirits, including people whose deaths have left unanswered questions. The heavy gloves she wears are not just an eccentric fashion choice: direct contact can make other people see the ghosts too. She has built an impressive public life while keeping the rest of the world at arm’s length, quite literally.
Yang Se-jong’s Ma Gang-uk is an accomplished prosecutor who believes in following evidence and standing up to injustice. Unfortunately for him, Yeo-ri’s unusual ability introduces witnesses who cannot give a statement in a courtroom. Their encounters begin around criminal cases, and their collaboration gradually forces each of them to reconsider what they assume about the other. She knows things she cannot easily prove; he has the legal authority to pursue truths that the dead cannot expose alone.
The romantic obstacle is more specific than the familiar rich-woman-meets-principled-man setup. Yeo-ri is used to protecting herself through distance. Gang-uk has to decide whether the frightening consequences of getting close are worth it. The series turns their physical contact into both a supernatural complication and a test of trust. As they share cases, the relationship develops alongside the mystery instead of existing in a completely separate storyline.
Ong Seong-wu plays Kang Min-hwan, a hotel-business rival whose connection to Yeo-ri complicates the central romance. Unlike the two leads, his polished appearance comes with possessive ambitions. Family pressure also matters: Jo Hye-joo’s Cheon Ha-ri and the relatives surrounding Reina Hotel give Yeo-ri problems that cannot be solved by talking to a ghost. Expect romantic tension, corporate maneuvering, uneasy family dynamics and individual investigations rather than twelve episodes of pure horror.
Based on the 2011 Korean film Spellbound, the television adaptation expands the concept into a twelve-episode story and introduces important new characters, including Min-hwan. Director Lee Min-soo and writer Choi Jung-mi take the original ghost-meets-romance idea into a more sustained crime-and-family plot. The show aired from July 18 to August 23, 2026, and is available on Netflix in Pakistan, with Hindi audio listed alongside English and Korean.
For viewers choosing their next drama, this is a better fit for anyone who wants a proper romance with eerie interruptions than for someone seeking relentless scares. The first episodes set up the strange partnership; episodes three and four give the consequences of Yeo-ri’s touch more room to develop.
