Marrying your cheating boyfriend off to your supposedly loyal best friend is not exactly a normal life goal. For Kang Ji-won, it is a chance to avoid the betrayal that already cost her everything. Marry My Husband turns that outrageous setup into a sharper question: if you could reclaim ten stolen years, would you simply walk away, or make the people who hurt you face the consequences?

Park Min-young plays Ji-won, an exhausted office worker who discovers that her husband, Park Min-hwan, and her closest friend, Jung Soo-min, are having an affair. After a devastating confrontation, she wakes in 2013 with her memories of the future intact. The man who once seemed like her future is suddenly a problem she can see coming, and the friend who knew how to exploit her kindness looks very different in hindsight.

Her new plan is wonderfully messy: change her decisions, protect herself and steer Min-hwan toward Soo-min instead. Of course, knowing the future doesn’t make everyone around her predictable. The office becomes a battlefield of calculated favors, embarrassing reversals and seemingly harmless conversations that carry far more weight than they should.

Na In-woo’s Yoo Ji-hyuk gives the drama its romantic counterweight. He is a director at Ji-won’s company who becomes an important ally, but his connection to her isn’t merely a convenient excuse to insert a handsome rescuer into a revenge story. Their growing trust gives Ji-won’s second chance another possibility: a relationship built around who she chooses to become, rather than whom she feels obligated to please.

The villains matter just as much. Lee Yi-kyung plays Min-hwan with the selfishness that makes Ji-won’s escape feel urgent, while Song Ha-yoon’s Soo-min turns the idea of a ‘best friend’ into a weapon. Their manipulation is personal, not some anonymous corporate conspiracy. That makes even a small victory over them feel meaningful.

The supporting characters also keep the world from shrinking into a four-person feud. Lee Gi-kwang’s Baek Eun-ho brings Ji-won’s old romantic history into view, while Gong Min-jung’s Yang Ju-ran and Choi Gyu-ri’s Yoo Hee-yeon add texture to her workplace and changing relationships. Not every connection is a trap, and that distinction is part of what Ji-won has to learn.

Expect a quick start: the opening episode lays out the betrayal and the time jump, and the next episode begins testing how destiny might be redirected. The middle mixes workplace maneuvering with romance, while later episodes add increasingly dramatic obstacles. Anyone expecting quiet slice-of-life healing may find those escalations excessive; this is a revenge melodrama that is happy to play big.

The 16-episode Korean series aired on tvN in 2024 and draws on a story that began as a web novel and webtoon. It is separate from the later Japanese adaptation, so check the cast if a streaming search presents both versions. Its time-travel device is more about moral choices and consequences than detailed science-fiction rules.

Try it if you want betrayal, clever payback, a substantial romance and a heroine who gradually takes control of her own story. Skip it if prolonged emotional cruelty or heightened villain behavior makes a show exhausting. The main attraction isn’t just watching Ji-won outsmart Min-hwan and Soo-min; it’s watching Park Min-young and Na In-woo make the possibility of a different future feel worth fighting for.
