Most K-drama couples spend half a season working up to one serious kiss. In Dynamite Kiss, the kiss arrives early, and the real trouble is everything that follows it. Go Da-rim meets Gong Ji-hyeok on Jeju Island, sparks fly, and what could have been a straightforward holiday romance turns into the most awkward possible workplace reunion.

Da-rim isn’t walking into that office with an exciting new career plan. She’s desperate for stable work and trying to protect her family from financial pressure. To land a position at a baby-products company, she claims to be married with a child. There’s just one problem: her new team leader is Ji-hyeok, the very man she kissed.

Jang Ki-yong plays Ji-hyeok, an efficient, controlled manager who prides himself on knowing exactly where the lines are. Now he’s supposed to supervise a woman he can’t stop thinking about, while believing she’s somebody else’s wife. That’s the show’s cleverest source of tension: a romantic misunderstanding that isn’t harmless for the person whose paycheck depends on keeping it alive.

Ahn Eun-jin’s Da-rim has more to lose than her dignity. Every friendly conversation risks another slip; every moment of chemistry complicates the lie she’s told to survive. It’s easy to recognize the classic fake-identity setup, but the employment stakes give her decisions an uncomfortable edge. You may understand why she lies without loving every choice she makes.

Then the supporting characters make everything messier. Kim Mu-jun plays Kim Seon-u, Da-rim’s longtime friend and a single father who helps maintain her pretend-marriage story. Woo Da-vi’s Yu Ha-yeong is a wealthy, refreshingly direct woman with her own feelings for Seon-u. Rather than keeping those two on the sidelines, the drama lets friendship, jealousy and family expectations interfere with the central romance.

The tone is proudly old-school rom-com: workplace proximity, jealous glances, a wealthy male lead, an increasingly ridiculous cover story and plenty of moments when honesty would solve several problems at once. If you enjoy watching two people deny obvious attraction while everyone around them gets the wrong idea, this is exactly that flavor of chaos.

Just don’t mistake the playful premise for fourteen episodes of uninterrupted fluff. The story also uses money troubles, family pressure and corporate conflict to raise the temperature. Romance remains the main attraction, but there are more complications than the sunny poster might suggest, especially once the relationships become harder to explain away.

For pacing, the first episode gives you the Jeju encounter, while the workplace collision comes into focus by episode three. The romantic rivalry becomes more pronounced around episode five. That’s a better test of the series than judging it only on the initial kiss; by then you’ll know whether its misunderstandings are entertaining you or starting to wear thin.

Dynamite Kiss aired on SBS from November 12 to December 25, 2025, and has fourteen episodes. It’s also listed on Netflix Pakistan, where the title page currently shows Hindi and English audio options alongside the original Korean. That makes it a convenient pick for viewers who want a completed office romance instead of waiting for weekly episodes.

Try it for Jang Ki-yong’s increasingly strained composure opposite Ahn Eun-jin’s determined, cornered heroine, and for the way Kim Mu-jun and Woo Da-vi complicate what first looks like a simple two-person love story. Skip it if long-running deceptions or romantic triangles are instant dealbreakers. The kiss is the easy part; watching these four navigate what it means is the actual show.
