Go Eun-sae (Ha Young) wakes in a countryside clinic unable to remember her identity or the life s

he left behind. Jang Tae-ha (Jung Hae-in), a reserved boxing coach, arrives with an explanation that sounds suspiciously convenient: they’re a couple. Soon, Eun-sae is living in Gujin, a village known for making yeot, the traditional Korean taffy that gives the drama its playful English title. She doesn’t remember choosing this life, and Tae-ha isn’t making it easy for her to

believe his version of events.

The village offers plenty of comic relief, but this isn’t a romance that stays safely inside a cozy countryside setting. Tae-ha has a complicated history, and the danger surrounding Eun-sae’s missing past doesn’t disappear just because their day-to-day routine starts feeling more comforta

ble. Heo Sung-tae plays Baek Sang-gil, a crime boss who brings much darker stakes into the story. The supporting villagers, meanwhile, give the couple something neither can manufacture: a community that notices when things go wrong.

dentity with crime-driven tension. The romance matters, but so does Eun-sae’s ability to make her own decisions while the people around her hold information she can’t remember.
